Disassembly:

Normally you remove screws from the underside of the loco, but R.J. DeBerg says "There is one screw hidden under a hatch located on top of the hood just behind the cab/rear of cab. The hatch seems to be glued in place so you need to use a small screw driver to pry it loose.  There are 5 screws that I remember to remove under neath the loco.  There may be two also under the fuel tank.  To get to them you must remove the tank."
