Zimo, Zigbee & Wi-Fi Zimo uses 2.4 GHz Zigbee for wireless communications. This page is to show the Zigbee frequencies and the Wi-Fi frequencies to show how they overlap and let you make an intelligent choice should you want/need to change the Zigbee frequency. The following table has: 802.11 Wi-Fi channels in black (channels 1 - 14 in 2.4GHz frequency band) Zigbee channels in red (channels 11 to 26 shown) The MX10 can be configured from channels 11 to 25 (dang, wanted 26) note well: in the USA, we only have Wi-Fi channels 1-11, so the "top" of Wi-Fi channel 11 is 2473 MHz, therefore in the US Zigbee channel 25 is 2 MHz above/away from the top edge of the Wi-Fi channel, and the best choice. The next best would be Zigbee channel 11, which has overlap with "bottom" of Wi-Fi channel 1, by just 4 MHz. All other available Zigbee channels have more overlap and are close to the center frequency of the Wi-Fi channel, that is worst. So my setup outside is channel 25, and my setup in the garage is channel 11 Wi-Fi or Zigbee channel # lower frequency center frequency upper frequency Zigbee-11 2405 Zigbee-12 2410 Wi-Fi-1 2401 2412 2423 Zigbee-13 2415 Wi-Fi-2 2404 2417 2428 Zigbee-14 2420 Wi-Fi-3 2411 2422 2433 Zigbee-15 2425 Wi-Fi-4 2416 2427 2438 Zigbee-16 2430 Wi-Fi-5 2421 2432 2443 Zigbee-17 2435 Wi-Fi-6 2426 2437 2448 Zigbee-18 2440 WLAN-7 2431 2442 2453 Zigbee-19 2445 WLAN-8 2436 2447 2458 Zigbee-20 2450 WLAN-9 2441 2452 2463 Zigbee-21 2455 WLAN-10 2451 2457 2468 Zigbee-22 2460 WLAN-11 2451 2462 2473 Zigbee-23 2465 WLAN-12 2456 2467 2478 Zigbee-24 2470 WLAN-13 2461 2472 2483 Zigbee-25 2475 WLAN-14 2473 2484 2495 Zigbee-26 2480 Sub-Pages Getting started the first time Zimo firmware versions & notes Zimo consisting tips Zimo, Zigbee & Wi-Fi Zimo Cheat Sheet MX32FU charger The Zimo Database Customizing Images for MX32FU cab Images for MX32FU cab Interfacing to the MX10, JMRI, etc. Zimo MX32 buttons/controls
