MRC Equipment

I don't use much of their equipment, but they make a lot. Most of their products are not very good in terms of reliability, sound quality, features.

MRC is sort of entry level, and a lot of the decoders have gotten bad press. It's not a stellar performer, but can be usable. Research before you buy any of it.

Their controllers are OK, the entry level one is relatively inexpensive and simple to use, but I don't see any reason to go cheap on the fundamental part of a control system. People make a big deal whether the DCC system costs $400 or $600, but don't blink twice at buying another $300 loco. Makes no practical sense to me.
